Autodesk Revit Architecture Level 2

For whom?

Training dedicated to architects who want to deepen their knowledge of the Autodesk Revit program.

  • Number of days: 2
  • Duration: 16 h
  • Materials: YES

Educational goals:

The aim of the training is to acquire skills in creating documentation in Autodesk Revit software and working in BIM metodology. The ability to prepare project documentation in BIM technology allows to acquire new investors and cope with the increasing requirements of the projects.

Learning outcomes:

  • use of Autodesk Revit to design architectural elements and model and operate parametric design tools
  • ability to insert and modify: solid models, structural and architectural elements, design variants, rooms, groups of elements and parameters
  • learning the principles of design and the basics of interdisciplinary cooperation using Autodesk Revit software

Course schedule: Autodesk Revit Architecture – Advanced

Modeling

  • Railing elements
  • Custom Curtain Panels & Mulions
  • In-place models
  • Wall Attics, Layer Wraps
  • Editing the shape of ceilings

Custom modeling (agenda agreed with and tailored to the needs of the group)

  • Conceptual solid and model elements by plane
  • Creating building elements based on a solid model
  • Modelling of non-standard elements through a “local model”
  • Modelling of parametric adaptive facade components
  • Reporting parameters in adaptive components
  • Point cloud modeling

Design options

  • Defining options
  • Assign items to design options
  • Comparison and acceptance of the main variant

Modeling Acceleration

  • Faster ways to use basic model tools
  • Creating groups: grouping; excluding elements from the group, “variants” based on groups
  • Bindings
  • Global parameters

Work on the views

  • Linking Revit files and controlling their visibility
  • Creating area plans
  • View Filters
  • Creating and using view templates
  • Scopebox – assigning and rotating to views, cutting lines

Materials and rendering

  • Editing materials
  • Camera Settings
  • Online Rendering

Cooperation with other industries

  • Attaching and updating RVT files (links)
  • Exporting, importing CAD files.
